E3 2013 Media Briefing

Continuing the momentum in the face of emerging next generation gaming platforms.

In our second year producing Ubisoft’s E3 media briefing, Touch wanted to emphasize the video game giant’s dominance across four key themes: connection, immersion, social, and personalization. It was vital that the briefing differentiate Ubisoft with authenticity and relevance in the midst of increased competition from new, next generation gaming consoles.

Our team developed a creative and brand-driven approach for the 2-hour briefing that was hosted for the second year in a row by Aisha Tyler, who worked with us to harness her formidable social media following to increase online viewership of the briefing.

Kicking off the event was a performance by Alice in Chains guitarist, Jerry Cantrell, introducing Rocksmith: All New 2014 Edition. Also included in the event was a dynamic collection of game trailers, including Splinter Cell Blacklist and the highly anticipated Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag; a live demo of The Crew, a new multi-player open world driving game; and a thrilling reveal of The Division, Ubisoft’s new MMO installment of their Tom Clancy portfolio.

The briefing garnered excellent attention amid an onslaught of press around new gaming platforms from Sony and Microsoft. The briefing set Ubisoft up well to retain its dominant market position as one of the most creative and innovative publishers in the industry.
